Known for bringing the FL sunshine, MistyLayne Drake is an American violinist and recipient of many awards in Florida. Ms. Drake has held a chair at The Boston Philharmonic Orchestra and The Orchestra Now, and was a three-time soloist with The Naples Philharmonic Orchestra. TV and film continue to be Misty’s favorite genre for collaborative music making, and her credits include: Superbowl LIV, Netflix, CBS and FOX Studios, Disney Cruise Line and The Henry Mancini Institute Orchestra. 

In 2016, Misty was named an Eastman Institute Arts Leadership Certificate Fellow and continues to expand her skill set through administrative positions such as The Boston University Tanglewood Institute, Sarasota Youth Opera and The Rochester Philharmonic Youth Orchestra. Ms. Drake holds degrees from The Eastman School of Music, and The University of Miami Frost School of Music (Teaching Assistant to Charles Castleman).

 

Currently, Misty is making magic at sea, performing with the Disney Cruise Line. Fun fact: Misty has four siblings and performs together periodically as a viola quintet.
